Dora The Explorer Cake & Cupcakes

This Dora Cake was made for a very special little girl, my niece Madison.  She loves Dora the Explorer and she has been excited about her birthday party for months.  Every time we see each other, she reminds me that she wants me to make her a Dora cake for her birthday.

The cake is almond cake filled and covered with almond buttercream.  The cupcakes are marble and chocolate with almond buttercream.  The cake is topped with a plastic Dora doll that my niece was able to keep.  The cakes and cupcakes are decorated with fondant stars, daisies, butterflies, and mini flowers.

Barbie Cupcakes

These Barbie cupcakes are marble w/ vanilla buttercream.  The cute Barbie toppers are edible prints attached to fondant.  Then the cupcakes are topped off with pink sugar sprinkles and white sugar pearls.

Hello Kitty Cupcakes

These adorable Hello Kitty cupcakes are red velvet cupcakes with pink cream cheese frosting.  All the decorations are completely edible.  

Made an extra cupcake especially for the birthday girl packaged in it's own box.  Hello Kitty's face is made out of gum paste and the bow is hand made using fondant.  I used edible markers to draw on her facial features.
