Cakes for the Summer!

Orange Creamsicle Cake made from scratch.  I tried looking for recipes online but I was disappointed to find that many recipes started off with a box of orange cake mix.  So I experimented a little with my own recipe and I was extremely happy with the end result.  It was a success!

Pina Colada cake made from scratch.  Took my own spin to this as well.  Found this awesome pina colada extract for the cake so that I didn't have to use rum.  I also added some coconut flakes to the cake batter.  I filled the cake with alternating layers of pina colada buttercream and pineapple filling. It was yummy!

UCF Graduation Cake

This simple, yet adorable purple birthday cake is made with almond cake and frosted with almond buttercream.

This colorful monkey cake is made with almond cake soaked with brandy and it is filled with almond buttercream frosting.

Pocoyo Cake

Pocoyo First Birthday cake.  Made with home made Funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream.

Pocoyo and Friends: Elly (elephant), Sleepy Bird, Pato (yellow duck), and Loula (puppy).  All hand made out of gum paste.

Michael Kors Purse Cake

I was really excited to make this Michael Kors purse cake.  It is a simple vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.  Cake is covered with white fondant.  I used gum paste for all the purse's details such as the MK logo, handle, and zipper.
